STEMx is now recruiting fellows for the 2026–27 CNS Expert Teaching Assessment Program.
The College of Natural Sciences Expert Teaching Assessment Program (CETAP) offers an opportunity to connect with colleagues across departments, exchange ideas about teaching, and reflect on instructional practice in a supportive environment.
CETAP Fellows will:
- Attend a 3-hour in-person orientation workshop during the week of August 18, 2026, focused on CNS and UT policies and best practices for formative teaching assessment,
- Observe a class taught by a veteran fellow as part of a small group and complete a practice assessment with guidance and feedback, and
- Conduct five instructor observations and complete teaching assessments by May 2027.
Fellows receive a $3,000 stipend, paid in two installments (December and May).
Applicants will be notified in mid-May. Questions may be directed to stemx@cns.utexas.edu.
