Teaching Discovery Days is an annual CNS event that brings faculty together to showcase and celebrate teaching excellence across the college, while fostering the exchange of best practices and new ideas in STEM education. Faculty members have the unique opportunity to observe classroom instruction led by past Teaching Excellence Award winners and other distinguished professors.
Classroom Observations & Presentation Demos
Get a rare, behind-the-scenes look at how some of CNS’s most celebrated faculty teach. These sessions invite participants into live classrooms to observe how award-winning instructors design lessons, engage students and use innovative teaching strategies—offering inspiration and practical ideas to enhance your own teaching.
Savory Talks & Insights
Join fellow participants for informal, food-fueled conversations about the classroom visits or demos. These sessions offer space to reflect, share teaching experiences and discuss how observed strategies could translate to your own course context.
Reception and Poster Session
The last day concludes with a poster session featuring education projects, teaching ideas, and more from CNS faculty. Enjoy food, drinks and a chance to celebrate, connect and build community around teaching excellence.
