CNS Expert Teaching Assessment Program Welcomes 2026-27 Fellows
College of Natural Sciences
The College of Natural Sciences Expert Teaching Assessment Program (CETAP) welcomes its 2026–27 cohort of 21 faculty fellows representing 10 departments across the college.
CETAP promotes continuous improvement in teaching through peer observation and individualized feedback. Fellows work one-on-one with CNS faculty to discuss their goals, observe their teaching, and provide evidence-based feedback and recommendations.
During the 2025–26 academic year, CETAP completed a record 129 teaching observations. This year’s fellows will continue that work across the college, supporting faculty at all career stages.

Request a CETAP Observation
CETAP observations are available to CNS faculty who would like an outside perspective on their teaching. Faculty may request an observation for a variety of reasons, including preparing for an upcoming promotion review, making sense of previous feedback, getting feedback on a specific teaching challenge or question, trying or refining a new teaching approach, or simply getting a fresh perspective on their teaching.
Faculty at all ranks are welcome to request an observation, with particular encouragement for assistant- and associate-rank faculty as they prepare for future review and promotion.
